Why Electrostar for Electronic Restoration Services
Today’s industrial equipment is more complex than ever, with digital controls, sophisticated electronics, and highly engineered moving parts.
Electrostar is a cutting-edge technology restoration company that provides industrial and electronic restoration services on machinery evaluation, chemical testing, and documentation.

Electrostar Services
on Water
Modern, low-voltage devices are not immediately damaged by water. Instead, tiny beads of water can cause erratic power routing, leading to malfunctions or complete failure.
Luckily, if you can remove all the water, it’s likely that the devices will work again! Yet, we can't overheat the device to get the water out, or we may mess with delicate components. We must turn to science to dry our electronics.
Liquids in the atmosphere reach an equilibrium vapor pressure and evaporate until they reach a saturation limit based on temperature. This is why spilled water on a kitchen floor will be gone by morning due to air drying.
Since water will keep evaporating until the atmosphere reaches this equilibrium vapor pressure (about 5% RH at room temperature), we must keep drying the atmosphere to evaporate all water.
Our procedure allows our drying chamber to reach and maintain an extremely low vapor pressure. We can remove water from even the most inaccessible reaches of the item.
Electrostar Services on Smoke/Soot
Since smoke will travel until its energy is used up and reaches cool temperature areas, during a fire, smoke and soot can cause more extensive damage than the fire itself.
All smoke residue should be considered acidic and corrosive to various materials and, at high temperatures and without oxygen, can undergo a chemical reaction called pyrolysis.
Fire suppression and fire retardant agents release chemicals like hydrochloric, hydrobromic, and hydrofluoric acid. Also, materials like plastic may release sulfuric, nitric, or phosphoric acids. The variety of aggressive chemicals and byproducts can cause significant corrosion to equipment.
This electrically conductive state can cause corrosion, soot deposition, crosstalk, overheating, or short circuits. Equipment left untreated will cost more to restore, and repair or replacement isn't always viable.

Chloride testing can determine if surfaces have been thoroughly cleaned. Deterioration must be reduced with appropriate corrosion inhibitors until more thorough cleaning.
Electrostar is committed to restoring your current equipment to better-than-pre-loss condition with a minimum of downtime and interruption.
